The Challenge: When a local restaurant wanted to introduce their new menu they contacted CFK Advertising for some ideas to uniquely invite locals and their core demo in for a “taste drive”.  In order to get as many people into the restaurant as we could, we recommended an promotional campaign in a small local newspaper that had a 89% read rate and a distribution of 15,000 per week.

The Idea:  In order to get the attention of local residents to “react to the promotion” – we agreed that giving away $100 in food certificates, on a weekly basis,  throughout a 6 week period would move the needle.

The Goal:  The campaign  goal was to bolster awareness of the restaurant to local residents that had not yet been in the restaurant as well as entice existing patrons to come in and try the new menu.  The "Register to Win" form also asked for name, address and e-mail contact information as we suggested they build a loyal customer database.  This would allow the restaurant to inform their best customers (the 20% that make up 80% of their business), by way of an E-Newsletter of the specials and events at the restaurant.

The result:  The client database for his monthly E-Newsletter increased 6x's over the 6 week campaign!  In a depressed economy and the typically slow season for restaurants, they saw an increase in revenue by 6% over last year.  The owner was more than  pleased!
